Shortly after the fall of Saddam Hussein, Iraqi ex-policeman Muhsin al-Khafaji has lost everything and is battling daily to keep himself and his sick daughter, Mrouj safe. But when he learns that his estranged elder daughter Sawsan is missing Khafaji is forced into a desperate search to find her.

This is one of the few series I have actually gone back and re-watched. It's absolutely remarkable. The acting is sublime. Bertie Carvel has a scene where I had to rewind to watch again, it's just that good. This is one of those shows where I recommend to all of my friends.
I wish it had more seasons, but it's so perfect maybe it's better being a standalone miniseries. At six episodes it's definitely worth your time.
