

High-profile LA district attorney Maya Travis suffers a devastating defeat after prosecuting A-list movie star Severen Johnson for double murder. With her career derailed, she opts for a quieter life in rural Washington. Eight years later, when Johnson is under suspicion for murder once more, Travis is lured back to the DA’s office for another chance at justice.

Travis and former colleague Matthew Collier search Johnson's house for anything that might lead to an arrest as they face mounting pressure from Alan Wiest to build a case quickly. Meanwhile, shady celebrity lawyer Ezra Wolf tries to clean up Johnson's image.

Travis convinces an asset to wear a wire during a rendezvous with Johnson; Wolf, working to create an alibi for Johnson, sends his henchman, Buck, to pay a visit to Travis' boyfriend Riv at his ranch.

Travis obtains surveillance footage of Johnson's girlfriend Jessica and his ex-wife Julianne the night before Jessica's death. Elsewhere, Travis learns that there's a mole leaking information to Wolf.

With the discovery of a mole in the office, the entire building is put on lockdown. Elsewhere, Wolf works to cover up Johnson's injuries and keep the information contained.

Travis and Johnson face off in court once again. Meanwhile, Wiest believes that there's information about the mole hunt that Collier isn't telling him.

Demoted to second chair, Wolf plots to bring down Angela Ashley but when assistant DA Loni Kampour plants the seed about a past case being investigated, Wolf focuses his attention to Travis.

Travis and the team are determined to keep evidence from imploding their case. Elsewhere, Wolf and Ashley are thrown when Johnson goes off-book, offering up a massive reward for information about Jessica's murder.

Emerson has a plan to capture Travis' stalker. Elsewhere, Wolf and Johnson follow a tip to Vegas and uncover Jessica's secret trip to a gun range.

Travis and Wolf work together as Johnson's case comes to a head. Johnson makes a rash decision after receiving a mysterious letter from a law firm.
