When a man is found shot on a Gotland beach, Maria's suspicions quickly turn to the landowner: an armed elderly man with dementia who has vanished.
The case becomes personal for Maria and her colleagues when Hartman's daughter--who was doing an environmental report on Faro--
also disappears.
