
Caillou and the family are at Grandma & Grandpa's for an evening corn roast. Everyone marvels at the night sky full of stars--which gives Grandpa the perfect opportunity to bring out his telescope & introduce Caillou to the constellations, planets and the moon.
The house wakes up late, and that means it's a mad rush to get Mommy off to work. Later, when Caillou goes for a walk with Daddy he meets all kinds of people doing all kinds of jobs--and he gets to try being a mailman, a sanitation engineer and a policeman for himself. The best part? When he makes the lights and siren goes off in the police car!

It's time for Gilbert's annual visit to the vet. Gilbert instinctively knows where he's heading. He hates riding in the car, so Caillou does his best to comfort him--with near-disastrous results! Things only get worse when Gilbert confronts a dog in the waiting room. The vet suggests that Caillou help comfort Gilbert when he gets his shot. That wasn't so bad, was it? MEOW!
When Caillou plays astronauts with Leo he upsets Rosie. Meanwhile, Grandpa discovers a new planetarium is opening and there's a prize for the best space costume. Caillou is thrilled when the winner turns out to be...a surprise!
Caillou is helping Mom clean out the attic. When they come across an old chest, they open it and discover it's full of unexpected things that may not be worth much money, but are treasures none the less.
The family goes away for a weekend of camping in the woods. Caillou is scared when the fish in the lake tickle him. He climbs a mountain with Daddy and really, really hopes he will get to see a moose before it is time to go home.

Caillou has dinner at Sarah's house and discovers new foods and a new way to eat them. He has so much fun learning how to eat with chopsticks he insists on trying them with dessert: Jell-O!
Caillou and Mom meet a fascinating woman in the park. Caillou is quick to approach the woman because she has a friendly dog. He notices it isn't on a leash but in a special harness instead. After several questions she explains she is blind and her dog helps her do many things. Caillou and Mom end up visiting a school where the dogs are taught their special skills.
It's hot and steamy and Mom won't let Caillou go to the public pool since they've been every day this week! When Caillou refuses to put on sunscreen lotion and Rosie won't nap, Mom quickly realizes that the hot weather is making everyone grumpy. She and Caillou come up with the perfect solution: they connect the lawn sprinkler for some good-time backyard fun--which certainly doesn't need a lot of sophisticated equipment.

Caillou, Dad and Rosie are in the car on their way home. Caillou and Rosie are in the back seat arguing and Dad is losing patience with them. When the car breaks down they have to pull over. Caillou comforts Rosie who becomes afraid when smoke comes out of the engine. Caillou is overjoyed when the tow truck arrives. Everyone rides to the garage and Caillou is in charge of holding Rosie's hand and explaining all the scary sounds.
When Dad and Caillou find a scruffy dog that appears to be lost they bring it home. The whole family pitches in and tries to find the owner by posting signs around the neighborhood. But when the owner arrives, Caillou doesn't want to let the dog go. (Though Gilbert is pretty pleased).

Caillou and Dad go shopping for a Christmas tree. Amidst the frenzy of holiday shopping they get jostled and pushed every which way. And by the time they get to the tree vendor, all the good trees are gone. Caillou and Dad have a problem: they promised Mom and Rosie they'd get a tree... Together they cook up a plan: They will decorate a tree in their own back yard!
Mom, an avid skier, takes Caillou downhill skiing while Dad and Rosie sit in the cozy chalet and watch. At first Caillou is frightened by the ski lift, but with Mom's help, he makes it down the hill just fine and has lots of fun. Afterwards, they all get together for tobogganing and a well-deserved hot chocolate before heading out to the hills again.
Caillou is very excited when the family takes a trip across country by train. After the initial thrill fades and they are settled into their compartment he feels a bit confined in the small quarters. Dad takes Caillou to explore the train--there's so much to see and do. But when it's time to sleep, Caillou wonders where his bed is: it's a foldout bunk bed!

Caillou finds an old toy sailing boat Grandpa used to have when he was a kid. It's broken and dusty and Grandpa is about to throw it out, but Grandma says he should restore it. Caillou helps him repair it and paint it, and together they take it to the park to sail it.
Caillou visits a farm and spends a day helping the farmer. He rides on a tractor and milks the cows. When a chicken escapes he finds her and to his surprise he learns where eggs come from!
Caillou, Dad and Rosie take Mom out for Sunday brunch to celebrate a big event. The meal is at a fancy restaurant and Dad explains to Caillou and Rosie that they have to be on their best behavior. Caillou even wears a tie for the occasion! All goes well until Rosie escapes under the buffet table.
Gilbert gets caught up a tree, and to Caillou's delight a fire truck full of firefighters has to be called in to rescue him. Dad happens to know one of the firefighters and he and Caillou are invited to ride back to the fire station for a grand tour.
Caillou and Rosie are spending the night at Grandpa and Grandma’s. Caillou doesn’t want to share a room with his sister. But Grandpa surprises them with bunk beds. Caillou is so excited that he has a hard time falling asleep. The room, from high up looks very different and a bit scary. Teddy falls, and Caillou has to come down the ladder to get him back. The top of the ladder looks very tall and far away. When Grandpa and Grandma open the door in the morning, Rosie, Caillou and Teddy are snuggled up together on the bottom bunk.
Dad drives Caillou to Grandma's for the day. When Dad accidentally leaves with Caillou's backpack full of toys, Caillou is upset and decides that there is nothing to do. Caillou sulks while helping grandma in the garden, until Grandma shows him how he doesn't need his toys to have fun. Soon Caillou is spending the day making wonderful prints with a potato!
An old lot becomes a place of great interest as a house is slowly erected on it. Caillou loves the tractors, diggers and builders. He watches regularly to see the development until one day he discovers that not only is there a new house, but it looks like there might be a new little neighbor. But it turns out there are two! Twins!
Caillou can’t wait until he is old enough to go to school. Since Sarah has no brother or sister, she invites Caillou to a little brother or sister day at school. The school is big and Caillou is a little afraid. But with Sarah’s help Caillou has a lot of fun, he even draws on the blackboard.
Caillou is cooking with mom. He is a bit too messy. Dad sends him to play outside, where he is having fun with Sarah pretending to cook. They bring to mom a bouquet of dandelions and a cake made with blocks. Mom sets them on her table.
When Caillou's kite-flying plans are defeated by rain, he creates a pirate ship in his living room. He and Rosie laugh as Gilbert chases the kite "fish" Caillou drags around the room. Dad pretends to be a pirate and play-wrestles on the ship. Lunchtime causes Caillou to think of an indoor picnic and even Gilbert enjoys the rainy-day arrangement.
Caillou and Sarah find a baby bird that fell from its nest. With Sarah’s help Caillou cares for it and protects it from a very interested Gilbert. He’s a bit frightened by the bird at first, but soon grows very attached to it. But soon the bird is ready to fly and Caillou has to let him go.
A winter storm with snow and freezing rain is heading in Caillou’s direction. While preparing dinner, the lights go out. Caillou doesn’t understand how lights turn off by themselves and is very afraid. Mom sets candles on the tables while Caillou and Dad get flashlights. Dad builds a fire in the fireplace and they pretend they’re camping. They even toast marshmallows! At bedtime everybody curls up by the fire in sleeping bags. Caillou wakes up to the sound of the TV. He realizes the power is back on. But everybody is comfy, so they all sleep in the living room anyway.
It’s time for Caillou’s first visit to the dentist. He thinks it sounds neat until Leo tells him he’s heard terrible things about the dentist. He tells Caillou some crazy stories he heard from his older cousin and now Caillou is not so sure he wants to go. But once he gets there, the dentist is actually really nice and shows him lots of neat stuff. He even gets a special treat!
Caillou is really looking forward to a special day with Dad, but Dad gets a bad cold and has to stay home. Caillou is pretty disappointed at first, but then with some help from Mom, Dr. Caillou looks after patient Dad. He brings him a snack, makes him a get-well card, entertains him and ends up having fun.
Dad and Caillou have fun making a jack-o-lantern together. Caillou’s about to throw out all the goop that was inside the pumpkin when Grandma tells him it’s the best part. He finds out what she means when they bake a pumpkin pie.
Caillou spends a day with Grandma and Rosie trying his hand at playing some music. At first what they get is a whole lot of noise, but with Grandma’s help he realizes it can be a lot more fun when they all play together.

After Caillou sees what Clementine is giving her Dad for Father’s Day, he wants to give his Daddy something just as special but he doesn’t think he has anything nice to give. With some glue, some paint, some Popsicle sticks and a little help from Grandpa he makes his own present for Dad. Caillou is not sure if Dad will like it, but Dad says it’s the best present ever because Caillou made it himself.
Caillou is very excited about the neighborhood rummage sale until he’s asked to figure out what he’d like to contribute. He’s not so sure he wants to part with any of his toys. But in the end he’s pretty happy with the new stuff he comes home with.
It’s night. A thunderstorm is raging outside. Caillou and Gilbert are afraid. They take refuge in Caillou’s closet until Daddy comes and rescues them. Over a cup of hot chocolate Dad tells Caillou about the counting game Grandma taught him. Playing the game, Caillou relaxes. He goes back to bed. While in bed, Dad and Caillou play the shadow game. With the storm moving away, Caillou, with Gilbert by his side, feels happy and safe again.

Caillou and his friends from the daycare are going for a treasure hunt in the forest. Caillou learns about all kinds of animals and trees, and also not to go away from the group or you can get lost. Caillou discovers a nice rock that turns out to be a turtle.
Caillou decides that he can do everything by himself. To show dad that he can help to paint the porch with him, Caillou paints Rosie’s doll’s house. When Caillou comes back with dad to show him the good job he did, Gilbert’s painted paws are all over the room. Caillou and dad have to clean up the mess. Caillou is really proud dad gave him a mini paint roller to fix Rosie’s Doll’s house.
Caillou helps Mom and Dad prepare the meal for Thanksgiving, but the pile of leaves outside is more appealing and more fun. Caillou goes to play in them with Gilbert. Later Mom asks him to set the table. Caillou messes up the Thanksgiving centerpiece. He doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about. Mom explains Thanksgiving Day to him. Caillou decides to be more help. He finishes the table and adds his own special decorations. He is very proud when his family enjoys what he has done.

Dad lends Caillou his old camera. But between his fingers in the lens and his subject that runs away, Caillou is ready to abandon it all. With Dad as an assistant Caillou takes great pictures of every member of the family, Gilbert included. The last one is the entire family together, Caillou included.
Caillou and Leo can’t find Caillou’s airplane anywhere but their hunt through the house turns up all sort of other lost items. They make a big mess along the way and when they clean it up they discover that the airplane was right under their noses.

After getting caught in the rain, Caillou loses his voice. He’s very surprised to learn he has a frog in his throat, but manages to find a whole new way of communicating with his family until the frog goes away.
After seeing Bravo the magician doing some tricks at Leo’s birthday party; Caillou decides that he is Caillou the Great. With magic words, Caillou makes his magic penny and Gilbert, disappear and reappear. Mom, Dad and Rosie clap and cheer him. He even makes up few tricks of his own.
Caillou is upset because he couldn’t stay and play with Leo. To cheer him up, Grandma gets out a pop-up book about clowns. Caillou forgot all about wanting to play with Leo. Grandma and Caillou decide to make puppet clowns and the theatre box. Mom and Rosie are back just in time for the show. Everybody has a great time.
Caillou and Mom go to the library for story time. Caillou has scribbled on one of the books he borrowed, and is afraid to bring it back. Clementine’s Mom who is in charge of story time cleans the book. Caillou takes home a new book and this time, he will be extra careful with it.
Mom is gone for the day. While helping Dad on the daily routine, Caillou realizes he knows how Mom does lots of things, especially with Rosie. Caillou loves helping Dad.
When Dad and Grandpa watch TV Caillou discovers baseball for the first time. He wants to play and patiently Dad works at teaching him. Caillou is all ready to throw in the towel as each toss passes him by, but when he sees Sarah and Billy really doing it he gets an opportunity to practice what he's learned and succeed. A few more lessons and Caillou is on his way to becoming a neighborhood baseball player.
Caillou and Dad are settling down for their favorite weekend ritual of reading the paper. Caillou can’t wait to see his favorite comic strip, but thanks to an ill-timed gust of wind and a very mischievous cat, Caillou has to exercise some patience and persistence before he can finally enjoy it.
Caillou is upset when dad and mom make him play with Rosie when all he wants is to play by himself. While Caillou is making a fort for her, she disappears. With mom and dad’s help, Caillou finds Rosie. It’s lots of fun to play hide and seek with Rosie, Mom and Dad.
Caillou, Mom and Rosie go to the park for a picnic and bring a kite. Unfortunately, there isn't much wind, and Caillou can't get the kite to fly. Mom suggests waiting a while, and while he waits, Caillou looks up at the clouds and sees all kinds of things: a wagon, a giant balloon and a dinosaur. He's disappointed when the wind picks up and blows the clouds away, but then he remembers his kite!
Mom and Dad are busy with spring-cleaning and Caillou wants to help. After a couple of ill-fated attempts, Mom and Dad give Caillou his very own chore to do and with no thanks to Gilbert, he does it all by himself.
Caillou and Sarah are playing together when Caillou notices his friend wiggling her loose tooth back and forth. He asks her about it and she crouches down to show him. She uses her tongue to wiggle it back and forth, explaining that soon it will fall out. At first Caillou is horrified. Sarah laughs and tells him baby teeth are supposed to fall out. It makes room for the grown-up teeth. And besides, when you start losing teeth, the tooth fairy brings you presents. That gets Caillou's attention.
Caillou wants to be taller like his friend Jim and tries to think of a way to grow faster. Mom and Dad measure him on his growth chart and show him he has grown a whole inch since last time, but that’s just not enough. Later when a plumbing problem requires someone small to help out, Caillou finds out there are some benefits to being just his size.
Caillou is excited about the arrival of spring, but he’s a little disappointed when Dad says there’ll be no more snow. So when he finds a patch of snow under the porch, he gets a great idea to save it so he can have winter fun all summer long.
Caillou loves Leo’s pet hamster and would really like to have his own, so he is thrilled when he gets to look after it while Leo and his parents are out of town. But he soon discovers that the job is a lot of hard work, especially with Gilbert around!
Caillou, Mom and Rosie go to the park, where they join Leo and Clementine already playing in the sandbox. Accidentally Caillou breaks a part of the sand castle as well as Clementine’s bucket. They are mad at him. Caillou is sad his friends don’t want to play with him. He offers his bucket to replace the broken one and helps them to finish the sand castle. They are his friends again.
Caillou and Leo are having a great time playing when Leo trips and falls, hurting his ankle. Caillou is very worried about Leo and thinks it may be his fault Leo got hurt. But when he makes Leo a get-well card and visits him at home, Leo says it wasn’t Caillou’s fault he didn’t tie his shoelaces.
After supper one night, Caillou and Jason and Jeffrey decide to play hide and seek in the backyard. It sounds like a lot of fun at first, but as the sun set things in the backyard take on a spooky appearance and being scared doesn't seem much fun anymore.
Caillou, Mom and Rosie are looking at pictures, and reminisce about the very first time Dad brought Gilbert home. He was just a little kitten.
Caillou and Rosie are at Grandma’s. To his surprise Caillou discovers that Grandpa’s birthday was last week and he had no birthday party. How could a birthday be a birthday without a party! Caillou decides to give Grandpa one. With Grandma's help, he gets everything ready, even the candles on the cake. Surprise! Grandpa is very surprised and very happy.
After a scary nightmare, Caillou doesn’t want to sleep in his own bed anymore and sneaks into Mommy and Daddy’s. Mommy and Daddy are wakened by his tossing and turning and are very surprised to find him in their bed. With their help Caillou comes up with some creative ways to enjoy sleeping in his own room again.
Caillou is very excited when Dad brings home a computer. His friend Clementine has one at her house and gets to play fun games on it. But Caillou is not the only one who wants to use the computer and he has learn to share it with the whole family even Gilbert!
While playing dinosaurs in the backyard, Caillou and Leo dig up a fish fossil rock. They clean it and decide to bring it to the library and have it exhibited beside the dinosaur fossil.
Caillou, Dad and Rosie take the car to the car wash. It’s Rosie’s first time and she is a bit scared. But Caillou reassures her by explaining everything to her.
Caillou, Rosie and Julie the baby-sitter travel to all sorts of pretend far away places. Among them are the desert with its camel and oasis, the big mountain they climb and finally the river and waterfalls in the steamy tropical forest.
While preparing the picnic lunch with Mom, Caillou tests a bit too much of everything. He has no room left to eat the special sandwich Clementine made for him. His appetite comes back while watching squirrels storing food in their houses for the winter.
Dad and Mom are having a grown-up party. Caillou is sad he is not invited. Caillou finds excuses to drop in the dining room far past his bedtime. The next morning everybody at the table looks sleepy and tired.
Caillou, Clementine and Leo are disappointed they can’t go to the zoo. With Mom and Dad’s help Clementine is a zebra, Leo a bear and Caillou a turtle.
Caillou, Rosie and Julie, their babysitter, go on a scavenger hunt. Back home they decide to make a craft with the elements and surprise Mom and Dad with it.
When Julie is late for baby-sitting. Mom calls around to find help. Mr. Hinkle from across the street is glad to baby-sit and Miss Martin hears that Mom needs help and comes too. Finally Julie shows up. Caillou has more help than he needs, but he invites everybody to stay for a piece of cake.
Caillou is invited to spend the day with Clementine's family and he's a bit nervous. But he soon he discovers that Clementine's family is a lot like his. He has a wonderful day and tops it all off with a strawberry for Teddy!
When Dad gives Caillou his old suitcase Caillou is thrilled. And for the first time ever, he gets to pack it himself. This brings him to a dilemma when he discovers that if he takes his toys, there is no room for clothes. Mom helps Caillou think about what he'll need and soon he is well packed and on his way.
Mom shows Caillou how to tie his shoes but he get frustrated and stops trying. Caillou learns in watching Rosie that you can succeed if you keep trying.
Caillou, Grandpa and Dad go for a special hike in the woods. Caillou has to catch a falling leaf before it touches the ground. After a while he gets frustrated but Grandpa tells him to try and try again, that is the only way. And it pays off!
Caillou meets Lee-Wun Sarah’s cousin. She is here for the Chinese New Year. Caillou learns about the New Year's coin and the red posters with good wishes. He even tries some Chinese delicacies, but most of all he gets to see the famous dragon dance.
When Caillou learns a mean word from an older child, he uses it on Clementine and hurts her feelings. When Mom finds out, she asks Caillou to apologize, which he does, and soon the two are friends again.
At the park Caillou meets a little boy and tries to make friends with him. He mistakes the boy’s silence for rudeness until he discovers that Robbie is deaf and can’t hear him. Caillou learns how to play with Robbie and soon they develop a language of their own. Caillou even learns the word for friend in sign language.
Caillou waits impatiently for the mail. He is expecting an invitation to Xavier’s birthday party. When it arrives he finds out it isn’t just any birthday party; it’s a fiesta and takes place in the park. A piñata hangs from a tree with a surprise inside it. Caillou is anxious to know what the surprise is inside. On his second turn he finds out. Candies tumble all around him!
Caillou learns the importance of keeping a promise and even though they aren't always that much fun to keep, the reward for Caillou is a circus and well worth his effort.
Dad can’t think of a surprise for Mom, and nor can Caillou. When Clementine comes out of a photographer’s studio holding a portrait, Dad and Caillou are thrilled. They keep the secret from Mom and the next day surprises her with a portrait of Caillou and Rosie beaming.
Sarah helps Caillou paint a birdhouse Dad built, but she can't stay and finish it because she is off on an all-summer trip to China. Caillou and his family take care of Sarah's house and look after Ollie. Caillou misses her very much. On the day of her return, Caillou is ecstatic and anxious to show Sarah that not only is the birdhouse finished and hanging in a tree, it has a resident.
When Caillou's brand new T-shirt is ruined by grape juice Grandma diverts disaster by recycling it and turning into a one-of-a-kind shirt that is tie-dyed with grape-juice star bursts. Caillou likes it even better than before and is happy to have been the artist.
Grandma is doggie sitting Rover. She and Caillou visit her friends in the Seniors’ Home and Rover goes with them. Caillou meets a lot of Grandma’s friends and tries to keep Rover out of trouble. When Rover runs away, Caillou finds him by hearing a sneeze from Mr. Jenkins who is allergic to dogs.
