Discovery Channel - The circle of life

Each animal habitat requires a different survival tactic. In the desert, water shortages and extreme heat are just as deadly as predators. We see spiders using the dunes as an escape route, and starving hyenas doing everything they can to survive! On the coast, the tides determine the battle between predators and their prey. Whales use the currents to hunt sea lions on the beach, and newborn baby turtles are threatened by gulls and octopuses!
