After their last encounter, the friends have a serious falling-out and are now striving to earn each other’s forgiveness. Fedya offers Polina a new job, but she makes an unexpected choice. Anya and Pasha work to rebuild their relationship, while Slava begins dating multiple girls at once. Zuev ascends to the role of dean, but his first wife, Veronika, takes over as rector, sparking a fierce battle for control. Meanwhile, Kuzya continues to sponsor the university, opening a pelmeni diner on campus and hiring the gang to teach them the realities of life.
Fedya seeks to reconcile with Polina and helps her land a job at Kuzya’s pelmeni diner. Anya tries to mend things with Pasha, but others keep meddling. Zuev orchestrates a plot against Veronika, while Vika dreams of escaping to St. Petersburg.
