This is a fantastic miniseries. I understand that it could have been a movie, I imagine they decided to make four 30-minute episodes to give the viewer the opportunity to choose whether to follow the plot or not, but it is so interesting that the 4 chapters flow like water. It's just two characters in one place in a spoken drama. It begins with a very strange interview between the two protagonists that little by little becomes an adventure between two completely different beings with very different visions of life, until each of them shares their secrets. The question is whether a psychological clash between the two can end in a loving and compassionate relationship. The performance of both protagonists is wonderful, especially the actress Tuba Buyukustun, it seems to me that her character carries or marks time and space, her performance exceeds expectations, it is spectacular.
Extraordinary work. I take my hat off to Tuba Buyukustun, who with her character kept the drama flowing, to Halit Ergenc who with his character knew how to perfectly follow his partner, to Ekin Atalar who produced a wonderful script, and to Zeynep Gunay who directed and materialized this exquisite drama. It is only four half-hour chapters, but it seemed short to me because of how interesting it is, the main couple is great, the chemistry between them is unmatched, Halit and Tuba are two acting geniuses.
Very interesting series as it focuses only on two characters and uses dialogues and a whole environment as a source of power, what begins as a somewhat awkward interview gradually transforms into an adventure where both characters begin to know each other's secrets.
The performances of Tuba and Halit stand out, a stage in which they had not been seen before, and they do it in a formidable way. The chemistry between them, their performances are magnificent
The script is another point that stands out and is applauded, very well thought out, the story that connects perfectly with the performances of the characters.
The miniseries is based on the original screenplay by Theodor Holfman. This Turkish version has many changes, it is basically the confrontation of a couple with different backgrounds and times, as well as their way of seeing life. The Turks have achieved a completely different version of good caliber, I love this version more than the previous ones. The main couple is spectacular. I did not find any fault in comparison with the film versions, on the contrary, they are extraordinary. There is a lot of deep dialogue and interaction between the couple throughout the series, which makes it more interesting and at the same time the series seems shorter. The level of acting is very high. A must see for those who love the structure of scenes with dialogue rather than special effects.
