1000 Years Old

I have to be honest, this was the most boring series I've ever watched! This is nothing against the actors, they were fine - but I don't know what the producers were thinking this this one. It is 12, 40 minute parts, but really if you watch 1 and 2, then skip and watch 10 - 12, you will get the whole story. Parts 3 - 9 contribute nothing to the story. Basically, you have a vampire (the most interesting character) who is over 900 years old and he falls for a human (a rather unpleasant person) and they try to open a restaurant together. Most of the series is about them trying different marketing ideas to get the business off of the ground. In time the human mellows and we learn in the last episode why the vampire tolerated the human's terrible behavior. It does have a happy, but bittersweet ending. My problem is two-fold, first they introduce new elements to the story that go nowhere. For example, near the end of the series we learn that there is a whole vampire business-like group running in the town, but they don't explore that, we just learn that it exists. Second, dramatic pause - almost EVERY single sentence is answered in silence and the scene trails off. Even for simple things, a conversation that a normal person would have doesn't exist in this series. I get that it can be used for effect, but when it's overused, you end up with this very long and boring production of a story that should have been very interesting!
