Detective Sidney Dorsey is one of Atlanta's finest homicide cops. A member of the elite 'Hat Squad' group of detectives he rises up to work one of the highest profile cases the state has ever seen. Swapping police work for politics, he ascends to a position of enormous power - the Sheriff of DeKalb County. But when allegations of corruption begin to swirl and sexual harassment claims are made, a political rival emerges to challenge Sheriff Dorsey's authority.
