To me this was a story with a lot of promise, but it fell short of its potential and lacked any real emotional impact. Mostly told from the wife's point of view, as they approach their wedding anniversary, she discovers that her husband is secretly in a relationship with another man. She learns that he has been struggling with his identity for a long time. She also learns that the man is a former student of hers who had graduated three years prior. The husband was a very weak character with not a lot of talking throughout the series. The boyfriend is bi at least, if not something else and is interested in romantic relationships with multiple people at the same time. The wife, who still loves her husband invites the boyfriend to live with them and they set up three separate sleeping areas in the house and all live together. The wife then kind of gets stuck in emotional limbo, she wants her husband to be happy, but she completely neglects her own personal needs and feelings. Spoilers, I won't give the whole thing away, but the ending is also a bit weak. The husband and wife divorce, but then they all decide to continue to live in the same house, all in the separate sleeping areas. Other than feeling sad for the wife, there's really no emotional impact at all. While both guys do have some things they deal with, they are not handled in an emotional way. It is mostly a series about these connected people and none of them can seem to make a decision about anything.
