A Donatello award nominated short film about two brothers travelling with their elderly father to a wedding. En route, old grudges rear their ugly head and neither realises just how poorly their father has become.

"Fajele" is to be married, and so sets off in a convertible BMW that he appears uncertain how to drive with his brother "Nico" and their elderly dad. The two siblings spend most of the journey squabbling in the front about aspects of their past, but they don't really notice that papa - squeezed into the back - isn't doing so well. He's recovering from recent hospital treatment so isn't maybe best prepared for the rain storm that descends upon them after they manage to break the car's automatic roof. Now, as they near a ruined basilica you'd have to put money on the old chap giving up the ghost - either by necessity or voluntarily to escape his fiercely irritating offspring. There are a few moments of fun to be had here, but for the most part it is just a relentless diatribe of ribbing and abuse from one lad to another that starts to grate after five minutes. There is some nice scenery and there can't have been much of a budget, so it looks fine as a sort of mini-travelogue but if I'm honest, I did get a little bored by the end.
