This is one of the many Chilean films I watched after seeing the masterpiece 'A Fantastic Woman', and even though I understand the criticism, I think it’s brilliant.
The characters are incredible—each one charismatic in her own way, especially La Planta Carnívora and Sam, both perfectly portrayed by their respective actresses.
The film’s direction has a great charm that really enhances a screenplay that, despite its flaws, holds up very well.
I like the music, and I have a soft spot for the Chilean accent; the comedic and dramatic moments work well for me for that reason, and there’s also a lesbian kiss scene— let's go girls!
It has a very distinct identity that I really love, and I’m glad to know it’s available on YouTube so I can watch it as many times as I want.
