A history of life on Earth compressed into three minutes.

Well, it does what it says on the can, and quite entertainingly too. Without troubling us with anything Jurassic, we begin with God’s equivalent of “lights, camera, action!”, and then that pesky snake tantalising an “Adam” and “Eve” who certainly aren’t presented in any style of statuesque beauty. Then we whistle through the times of the Pharaohs, the Greeks, the Romans and right the way along to Queen Victoria and the last of the world’s great empires. There is some satirical commentary wrapped into the imagery too and in many ways it serves as quite a potent little potted history of mankind and it’s obsession with conquest and dominion. I liked the simplicity of the hand drawn animation and it’s jolly accompaniment and for four minutes or so I was taken back to my school days - when I wasn’t remotely interested in the history of anything.
