On Sundays, cockfighting aficionados flock to the Santa Monica Cockpit in Quezon City to watch cockfights and test their luck in gambling. Larry, a gaffer or mananari, prepares gamebirds with tari. Inside the arena, the audience watches two roosters fight and aim to kill each other.
