Mariana navigates the stages of grief beneath a deafening silence. While her mother, Helena, attempts to rebuild a bond that seems broken, Mariana seeks refuge in alcohol and fleeting relationships, clinging obsessively to a beaded bracelet—the last physical trace of her father. Her downward spiral culminates in a night of excess, where an outburst of violence destroys her amulet. Seeing the colorful beads scattered across the floor, Mariana's emotional wall collapses, finally allowing her mother to reach her so they can begin the complex process of healing together.
