A scrappy four-part series based on an extended family's reunion in the Ozarks. The family plays exaggerated versions of themselves, from the Gen Z cousins to the great aunts, and it was filmed at the schoolhouse where the gatherings always take place. Part 1, Alone, is a vignette of David, who preps for 50+ family members to take over his hillside. It's also a portrait of a day living alone in small-town America, and the joys and aches that come with that solitude. Part 2, Arrivals, is the fever dream of the anxiety, side eyes, and "You got a boyfriend? questions of every gathering. Part 3, Escape, is the evitable prison break of the teens into the nearest town. Part 4, Reunion, is the snapshot of rituals being passed through generations, the ingrained connections and a realization of the cycle of life.
