Torosiaje: The Bajou, The Sea, and The Future

The loss of preservation of the Bajo Torosiaje tribe’s traditional and maritime culture among the younger generation has led some children to prefer to seek employment and settle in urban areas. Not only that, the loss of this preservation has brought about other impacts, such as the emergence of illegal fishing activities that contradict their customs, making this phenomenon contrary to their identity as “Guardians of the Sea”.
