In the Weft and Warp of the Nomads

A film directed from exile: through her brother’s lens, the director seeks to capture the lives of Iran’s nomadic women who weave carpets – a powerful metaphor for feminine creation and resistance. Their collaboration also carries a symbolic weight: patriarchal structures seem to be repeated on the surface, yet in truth it is the woman who leads, decides, and shapes the narrative.
