"In the year 1999, a corpse descends from the cosmos… right into your backyard."
A top-secret gorvenment research group called HOME is sent to investigate the remains of an alien corpse that had crash-landed in Nebraska. However, things take a turn for the worse when it is discovered that part of the alien corpse has risen from the dead, speading a deadly infection called the STARKILL in the process. The STARKILL begins to assimilate all nearby organisms, and it's up to HOME to research and destroy this bizarre alien threat.
