A modern "The Hidden" but found footage
Because of course it is found footage. It is a cheaper way to shoot horror, and it has taken root.
This production does it well, and mixes some fun practical effects with digital ones, often obscured partially by grainy "footage" so that you cannot see where the seams are not matching. The story is compelling, the narrative works, the characters are good enough for what this is. Is is far from flawless, but it is worth a watch, for sure, if you liked The Hidden, and similar things.
