The film follows bird catchers at work on the rugged west coast of the Faroe Islands, which consists of inaccessible mountains. On the west coast of Skúvoy (Skuøs) live millions of guillemots. The boys are practicing with the net and climbing on small mountain walls. The filming took place in the summer of 1949.
