Behind the lens is a documentary about photographer Shelley Polanco as she transitions from photography to videography and her journey creating her first film about the Latinx population at Brandeis University.
Watching Behind the Lens was truly inspiring and meaningful for me as a viewer. Seeing Shelley Polanco step outside of her comfort zone and transition from photography to videography showed a level of courage and passion that was powerful to witness.
The documentary captured genuine moments of growth, uncertainty, and determination, which made her journey feel real and relatable. It also did a great job highlighting the importance of representation and telling stories that matter, especially within the Latinx community at Brandeis University.
Vimukthi Mawilmada flowers to you, you did a phenomenal job directing this film and bringing Shelley’s vision and story to life in a way that felt authentic, engaging, and memorable.
Thank you !
