About a fashion designer named Cherish who wants to buy back her childhood home. Helped by Ruelle, her best friend, she also accepts the offer of a mysterious man called by the Dealer to steal a wedding dress worth tens of billions of rupiah belonging to a controversial businessman named Richella. Can they do it?
Cherish & Ruelle, adapted from Reiga Sanskara’s novel, carries a compelling premise but struggles with execution due to its rushed storytelling and underdeveloped narrative. Febby Rastanty takes on a bold, unfamiliar role, yet her portrayal of Ruelle falls short of fully breaking from her usual "safe" characters, while overacted scenes and illogical dialogue—especially in critical moments—diminish the film’s emotional impact. Despite decent cinematography, weak sound design and forced performances make the film feel flat, though it still holds potential if given a more thoughtful rework.
