The Opalton Boulder Crew need to find a new source of boulder opal, the Mooka Boys are gambling their season on a rented digger to get through cap rock and Slim Pickings are trying to stay dry after floods washed out their mine site.

The Opal Whisperers have sold opal before they've even found it, putting Isaac and Kelly on edge, the Bushmen are facing mechanical troubles yet again and the Opalton Boulder Crew are back, with one mine underwater and another failing to deliver.
