Oliver and Sandy get into a big argument over marriage, he hates the idea and calls it outdated; she wants a ring on her finger — after all, it's been six years.
After promising to marry Sandy, Oliver is now forced to sleep on the camp bed, and have no 'nookie'. They agree to wed in a week, so Oliver doesn't get splinters, so there's lots to do — and sort out a honeymoon.
It's the night before the wedding, and Sandy stays at home with her mother. Oliver, meanwhile, has a stag do with the lads. After a drunken night, he realises he's lost his case for the wedding, and has to return home.
Sandy and Oliver have a few days in the honeymoon suite in their regular Norfolk Hotel, though Oliver is a bit shocked by the price! They also beat another honeymooning couple to the suite, which Oliver starts worrying about.
Sandy and Oliver return home following their honeymoon. Oliver tries to pretend things haven't changed, but change they have. The wedding presents also make the flat look shabby! Oliver gets a shock when they go round Edgar's.
Sandy and Oliver celebrate their 'two week, two day' anniversary by organising a party. Only Tom and Joan are having a party the same night, and everyone's been invited to that! Why haven't Sandy and Oliver though?
It's their first Christmas together and so to celebrate they decide to invite both sets of parents over for Boxing Day lunch — at least that was the plan!
