
Hiroto Miyama is a poor lawyer who takes on criminal cases, but unable to make money. He pursues the truth for the 0.1% out of Japan's 99.9% conviction rate. One day, Hiroto is scouted by Haruhiko Madarame. Haruhiko Madarame is the head of Madarame Law Firm which is one of the biggest law firms among the 4 big law firms. Hiroto Miyama begins to work with Atsuhiro Sada. Atsuhiro Sada is a lawyer specializing in civil cases and makes lots of money for the law firm. He doesn't have any interest in criminal cases which can not make money.

Miyama, an eccentric lawyer who specializes in investigating criminal cases, joins the newly established criminal practice at the Madarame Law Firm. Joined by fellow attorneys Sada and Tachibana, they investigate their first case.

Miyama is assigned to represent a man who is claiming self-defense, but Miyama thinks there is more to the story.

Tachibana is asked to defend a woman's daughter who is accused of stealing a large sum of money. The daughter refuses the help when she learns where the request comes from.

A famous inventor is charged with sexual assault. His employer tries to get him to settle out of court.

After their client collapses during an interview, Miyama and Tachibana try to get answers directly from the victim.

Miyama is convinced that a case from 18 years ago is connected to a case in the present day. He confronts Sada, who was the prosecutor in the original case.

A CEO is murdered by his son, who tries to pin the crime on an innocent man.

Miyama is arrested on suspicion of murder. Sada and Tachibana promise to represent him, but Miyama wants to do his own investigation.

When a railroad executive is murdered, his daughter-in-law confesses to the crime. Despite testimony from all of the family members, Miyama is not convinced.

Miyama's newest client is accused of multiple murders, but he maintains his innocence. A similar case in Shizuoka helps Miyama uncover evidence to help his client.
