The Duel II
The Duel II is the 17th season of the MTV reality game show, The Challenge. The season is directly subsequent to The Island. The Duel II is the sequel to the show's 13th season, The Duel, and succeeds The Island season. It took place in Queenstown, New Zealand, with former cast members from MTV's The Real World and Road Rules competing along with several cast members from the Fresh Meat challenge. The cast departed for Queenstown, New Zealand on October 27, 2008 and filming ran through early December. This season premiered on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 and concluded on June 17, 2009 with the reunion show.
01. Damned If You Duel...
Twenty six eager Challenge competitors arrive in New Zealand and learn that they will be competing in one of the most intense Challenges ever – The Duel 2. A night of partying leads to a scandalous hookup and old tensions erupt into a massive brawl.
02. Duel Unto Others
The competitors find themselves on thin ice during their challange. The Challengers come up with a master plan that results in pandemonium.
03. Duel What You Gotta Duel
A Challenger finds himself caught between his friendship with a fellow competitor and his loyalty to his group. Two underdogs try to shake up the game and this weeks challenge gets dirty, as everyone fears facing the Duel.
04. Duel-ality
Players struggle to keep their heads on straight during the "Luging My Mind" challenge. One of the strongest players is taken off guard when he is called into the Duel.
05. Duelers On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown
The players' fears of heights are put to the ultimate test when they compete in one of the most terrifying challenges ever. Two of the most feared competitors are sent into the Duel, showing that no one is safe.
06. Dueling For Dunbar
Teamwork becomes vital as players take part in the "Dangle Duo" challenge. Two of the strongest men enter the Duel and the competitors bid farewell to one of their most beloved players.
07. Deja Duel
An explosive challenge, "Burnt", leaves competitors at the end of their ropes. Two competitors' partnership is put to the ultimate test as and a longtime Challenge rivalry is reignited in a fresh Duel face off.
08. If These Duels Could Talk
The players step into high gear for the "Upside Downer" challenge. One player finds themselves in the Duel for the third time. Three players enter into a bizarre love triangle and one winds up fighting for survival.
09. Til Death Duel Us Part
As the $300,000 final challenge approaches, the fight to make it has everyone on edge. This week's challenge leaves the players breathless and in the Duel Selection Ceremony one player is accused of doing another's dirty work.
10. Duel Or Die!
TJ shocks the competitors with a twist that no one sees coming. With only six spots available in the final challenge, the remaining eight players battle for survival. The final six compete in a grueling race for the $300,000.
