This second volume of the series features the controversial Chris Rock (Me, Myself and Irene, Lethal Weapon 4, Dogma) who hosts one of the live shows. Chris Tucker (Rush Hour, Ocean’s Eleven, Charlie’s Angels 2) features in the second show which is hosted by (Bad Boys) Martin Lawrence. The third show includes such greats as Cedric the Entertainer, George Willborn, Sonya D and Rudy Rush.

This edition of ALL STARS features two episodes of the landmark show and contains early performance by Jamie Foxx, Martin Lawrence, and Chris Tucker. Each display a much fuller picture of the comic persona they often show in movies as their acts showcase their own original material and are completely uncensored.

Here, Mark Curry and Steve Harvey both show off some comic chops that that could never air on their respective network TV shows, though Harvey has shown this side of himself in Spike Lee's excellent THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY. Rounding out the performers are Don "D.C." Curry (NEXT FRIDAY) and Arnez J. Contains two episodes.

Another fantastic hour of cutting-edge comedy emerges from Russell Simmons' brainchild, THE DEF COMEDY JAM. This volume features up and comers including George Wallace (of A RAGE IN HARLEM), Cedric the Entertainer (from "The Steve Harvey Show") and Mike Epps (of NEXT FRIDAY).

Steve Harvey, a regular on the program, showcases his amazing act, featured in THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY, which will surprise anyone who only knows him from his sitcom. Here, he is joined by a younger set of comedians: Tracy Morgan, Chocolate, and Ricky Harris.

11. Def Comedy Jam All Stars Vol. 11

Russell Simmons' popular night of urban comedy is back in its 11th volume! This one stars actor-comedian brothers Joe and Guy Torry. The productive young men, who are from St. Louis, have appeared in films including POETIC JUSTICE and SPRUNG, and have also produced and directed various television programs. Here, they bring their upbeat brand of comedy to the Def Comedy stage.
