There is no place where movement is as unique and different as it is underwater. Below the water's surface, there is no gravity, which allows aquatic creatures to enjoy a variety of fluid, innovative, and often impressive forms of movement.
As life began to move from water to land, various locomotive challenges had to be overcome. Dry land requires a combination of clever adaptations and ingenious appendages… A challenge that land animals have overcome with phenomenal flair.
The final frontier that animals had to conquer was the air… the infinite and boundless skies. Mother Nature’s aviators defied gravity and easily mastered the principles of aerodynamics, breaking free from their earthly ties to take flight. The ability to fly requires an astonishing array of combinations of wing design, body shape and weight, and energy requirements.
