Season 3

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji share their first kiss during the Night-Hunt on Mount Baifeng. Wei Wuxian runs afoul of both Jin Zixuan and Jin Zixun.

Jin Zixuan confesses his feelings to Jiang Yanli. Wei Wuxian has an uneasy meeting with Lan Wangji, then reminisces the first time he arrived at Lotus Pier.

Wei Wuxian rescues the imprisoned and enslaved remnants of the Qishan Wen Clan, but learns that Wen Ning has already died from abuse.

The cultivation clans begin to turn against Wei Wuxian, and Jiang Cheng confronts him. Wei Wuxian defects the Yunmeng Jiang Clan, and seals it with a duel against Jiang Cheng.

Lan Wangji visits Wei Wuxian in Yiling, and they discuss both the past and the present.

Wei Wuxian is invited to Jin Ling's full-month celebration. While heading to Lanling, however, he is ambushed by Jin Zixun.

After Jin Zixuan's death, the cultivation clans hold a pledge conference to forever oppose Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian appears, and a fight ensues. After Jiang Yanli dies in the crossfire, the despairing Wei Wuxian commences the Bloodbath of Nightless City.

Wei Wuxian determines the culprit behind the cultivators' loss of power, and helps everyone escape from the Burial Mounds.

Wei Wuxian faints during the boat ride back to the Lotus Pier. Once they arrive, the cultivators learn more damning facts about Jin Guangyao.

Wei Wuxian gives Lan Wangji a personal tour of Lotus Pier. They soon argue with Jiang Cheng in the Jiang family’s ancestral hall before Wen Ning arrives to reveal a devastating truth.

In Yunping, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji investigate a suspicious Guanyin Temple and plan to come back later.

Lan Wangji’s third drunken escapade. Wei Wuxian’s actions lead Lan Wangji to think that he was only toying with him.

Wei Wuxian investigates the Guanyin Temple at night and finds himself by Jin Guangyao. Lan Xichen reveals the aftermath of the Bloodbath of Nightless City to Wei Wuxian, and Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji confess their love to each other.

Jiang Cheng arrives and, though he initially has the upper hand, is ultimately taken captive after allowing his emotions to affect his judgment. He confronts Wei Wuxian.

Everyone learns more about Jin Guangyao's past and motives.

Nie Huaisang tricks Lan Xichen into mortally wounding Jin Guangyao, who pushes Lan Xichen to safety before allowing Nie Mingjue to kill him. Wei Wuxian realizes that Nie Huaisang was the mastermind behind the events leading to Jin Guangyao's demise.

Lan Sizhui reveals his true identity to Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji share their first time before eloping.
