Cornered by two Combat Augenits, the human rookie Silas is rescued by Cybor, a Labor Augenit fighting alongside the Coalition. Elsewhere, the Combat unit Wrathfield holds the line against a Coalition squad and armored vehicles until reinforcements arrive.
In the smoldering aftermath of a bunker raid, the revolutionary leader Kael is confronted by DC-A-11210, a vengeful Combat Augenit demanding accountability for the synthetic blood Kael shed during his years of human servitude. As Kael faces a shattering ideological rejection, his calculating lieutenants quietly watch from the shadows, questioning his fitness to lead.
