Lawyer Đorđe Čogurić and police chief Andrija Kustudić begin to uncover links between the body found by the Sava and the death in Topčider, leading back to the royal court.

Čogurić receives an anonymous letter suggesting that Ilka Marković left a diary in prison. The investigation shifts to the prison archives, where they discover that certain documents vanished just before her death.

Chief Kustudić discovers he is being followed during the investigation. Shadows from the past become increasingly dangerous as it turns out that people from the highest political circles are involved in the murders, desperate to keep the truth about Ilka buried.
