Stockholm 1997. Eco-criminal Joachim Posener, recently released from prison, dreams of building an empire. He wants to show his parents and his seven-year-old son that he can achieve anything. The series is inspired by the Trustor affair.

The eco-criminal Posener is released from prison and begins to stage a new fraud together with his cousin. With the British Lord Moyne as a front man, they buy a large stake in the investment company Trustor. But how can they afford to pay?

Close to a quarter of a billion is to be stolen from Trustor's funds to pay for the shares bought by Lord Moyne, but the operation raises suspicions. At the same, Jisander and Mattsson go to St Tropez.

Posener and the others try to stop Gunnar's article. At the same time, Posener and Jisander are in a hurry to carry out the next step in the coup, which will hide the hundreds of millions missing from Trustor's funds.

Under scrutiny from both police and media, Posener takes the others to Switzerland in an attempt to cover up all tracks. Meanwhile, tensions rise within the group. What is Lord Moyne really planning? Everything comes to a head by a hotel pool in Geneva.
