Rayún and Sayén face their first dangers of the outside world, and their inexperience leads Rayún to destroy his power gauntlet and Sayén to lose the satchel where he had stored Specimen 0. They decide to enter an old, abandoned mining camp to search for the components that will allow Sayén to repair the gauntlet.
Rayún and Sayén enter an old backhoe looking for a draguiris crystal that can activate the power gauntlet, but when they turn on the machine, it enters excavation mode, and they must escape before it's too late.
