Angel has doubts about marrying Gary. During a camping trip, they argue and Angel is abducted, but Gary rescues her.
Anna and Flora visit Barney, who gives Anna Frew's letters, saying not to write again. Flora tries to return them, but Frew is still eager to see Barney.
The Grovers rehearse for Ritual Humiliation, but Marie quits, calling them obsessed. Angel attends a holiday rep workshop but walks out mid-role play, thinking she’s failed.
Ed scolds the Grovers for spying on his mum, leading Geoff to suggest Gloria stop visiting the Grove. Ed comforts her.
New girl Harry arrives at the Gallagher’s with her friend Cher, impressing the lads. Gary and Angel decide to use their wedding money for a flat deposit.
After their wedding, Gary surprises Angel by arriving on a white horse, sparking a medieval fantasy sequence. The dream fades when Gary admits he can’t afford the flat, leaving Angel upset.
Terry pulls Karen aside and admits he likes her. Anna and Flora visit Cher's Nan with Harry, but Mrs. Coates gets confused by Flora's questions.
Karen jumps from the train and visits Terry in hospital. She's upset when Geoff and Lou question her, and Lou reveals the police are involved.
Flora and Anna follow Jack and photograph the mugger threatening him at the Grove, but his face is obscured. Frew identifies the mugger’s jacket as from a local gym.
Frew is released from the court on the sole condition that he leaves Newcastle, Lou arranges for him to stay with her sister in Northampton.
Teraise is angered when she discovers that a free poster of a pop band had been defaced by her newspaper deliver. She confronts him and he apologises as he was only doing it in protest for girls to start liking boy bands for their singing talent instead of how good looking they are.
Phillip is taken by Teraise to meet Geoff at the Grove. However on the way there Gruff, a wayward goat, follows them. Angered that Teraise didn't pay him any attention, Jack arranges to have Gruff taken to the slaughterhouse (which is where he was from to begin with).
Teraise and Phillip save Gruff from his fate.
A sad day at the Grove for Terraise and Phillip when Gruff is killed in a racist attack on the Grove.
Terry introduces his younger brother Ben to the other Grovers. Problems follow though as their father has just been released from prison and he has no intention of going straight.
Jack and Phillip are planning to be the Gallagher brothers for the ""Stars In Your Eyes"" competition. Their first rehersal however goes a bit off as they get drunk on the alcohol that Alfie and Ed had hidden.
It's ""Stars In Our Eyes"" night at the Grove and Anne joins Sita on stage as the Eternal Sisters.
Cher and Harry argue as Cher decides to perform solo as Madonna instead of performing as ABBA with Harry.
Harry decides to get revenge on Cher by pulling the plug on the cassette player proving to everyone that she was miming.
