Chandra proudly surrenders her sons at the Dhoolpet Police Station for avenging their father’s death, creating tension when two politicians intervene. Soon after, a burnt head was found in the dump yard and that led the police dog straight to the lodge of the mysterious stranger. During interrogation, the officers discover that he is actually their newly appointed ACP Vetrimaaran. As he takes charge, a woman’s severed head unexpectedly falls from a fish laden tricycle after an accident, adding horror around the town. Vetrimaaran heads to the forensic lab and examines all three recovered heads.
A haunting past resurfaces as Vettrimaran confronts old scars, while a single piece of jewellery drags Sukumar into a mystery that reveals a missing girl’s terrifying truth.
ACP Maran interrogates Sukumar. Evidence is found both at Sukumar’s workplace and at his house. Maasani’s intuition says Sukumar is innocent, yet the forensic intelligence begins to suspect him.
Maadhangi, the lawyer who takes up Sukumar’s case, challenges Maran, saying she will confront him in court. ACP Arjun joins ACP Maran in handling the three murder cases.
Arjun and Maran split up their tasks. Maran begins his pursuit of two murder cases, while Arjun sets out to investigate one murder case.
Maran moves into the first floor of Maadhangi’s house. Arjun begins his investigation with Ratnam’s family. During the course of Arjun’s inquiry, Priya secretly follows him.
Displeased with Arjun’s way of investigation, Maasani decides to quit the job. However, when Arjun explains the truths he has uncovered in his investigation, Maasani develops respect and admiration for him.
