Tensions mount as Robert expresses his desire to stay on the road and continue touring. Meanwhile, Becky’s goal is to return home and start a more traditional life. The couple clashes over their broken marriage and life together.
Off days on the "Relapse and Revival" tour are very rare, but the team will try and make the best of it. Robert’s manager makes a surprise visit then the crew heads out to explore Starkville. In the blink of an eye, Robert goes from standing upright to lying on the floor.
Robert is learning the hard way that life is not always a party. Robert convinces everyone that he is okay, then opens-up about his and Becky’s doomed marriage.
Robert wants to cancel an upcoming show. Becky's alter ego, Annie Wild, delivers the bad news to the venues. The crew departs for Alabama to prepare for the final two shows. Conversations about Robert and Becky’s relationship heat-up around the bonfire.
Robert, Becky and Slayder make it just in time to perform at the Alabama Pepper Jelly Festival. Robert is unhappy about being late and not being able to set-up his equipment. His attitude worsens about that day’s performance and the rest of the tour.
Robert still has tricks up his sleeve for the final show of the tour at a famous Alabama roadhouse. Arguably the best performance of the tour gives Robert the boost he needs to keep going. Robert and Becky argue about going home to rest, versus extending the tour.
Robert and Becky, with Slayder in tow, return to family, friends and the life they left behind a year prior. Becky visits her widowed father on his farm and confronts him over the lack of support.
Robert surprises his parents by coming early and expresses his desire to stay on the road. Becky is happy to be home and would like to stay. Robert introduces his parents to a surprise friend they met on the road.
It has been a long road full of mistakes, memories, and a lot of music. It may be the end of the tour, but there are still more surprises in store as Robert performs a homecoming concert surrounded by family and friends.
