Mike kickstarts his trip by leaving Bermuda and heading to Iceland via Boston in the USA, where delivery issues threaten to stop his adventure before it even begins.

After a skiing accident, Mike has a swollen face. He heads for Silfra fissure in Thingavellir National Park, to ice his body in the freezing waters.

Mike Wilson heads to the south west highlands, where he gets a tip off that Tindfjallajökull contains all the right elements needed for base jumping.

Having taken on the roads, snowy slopes and mountains of Iceland, Mike Wilson shifts his attention to other aspects of the landscape: the rivers and volcanoes.

Mike Wilson plans the next steps of his journey around Iceland – to take on the biggest glacier in all of Europe and head for the East Fjords.
