Nittra struggles to adjust to her new world. Chaai continues to visit often, prompting his mother to seek out a more favorable match for him.

Several men take an interest in Nittra, including the wealthy — and married — Master Thong. Later, a murder occurs, causing dismay.

Nittra follows Ming to find out why he is acting strangely. With Madam Fang threatening to sell her, Nittra must find the money to buy her freedom.
