Season 1
Joo-ran is a woman who appears to live a charmed life. She has a seemingly perfect husband and a well-behaved, academically gifted son. She is very content with her life, and thinks that she does not want for anything. But everything starts to change for her – for the worse – when she notices a strange stench coming from her backyard. Over time, she begins to worry that the smell may be coming from a dead, decomposing body…
Her path crosses with that of Sang-eun, a woman whose life has been filled with struggle and violence. She is the victim of domestic violence and longs to escape from her miserable daily existence. Over time, the women begin to find their destiny is bound together. Will they uncover the truth about the smell in Joo-ran’s garden? And will they be able to work together to learn the truth about Joo-ran’s seemingly perfect family life?
01. Episode 1
Ju-ran, a woman with a perfect life in a perfect house, feels anxious about the strange smell from the backyard. Sang-eun, a pregnant woman who suffers from poverty and domestic violence, hears the news of her husband's sudden death.
02. Episode 2
Right before his death, Yun-beom shows up at Ju-ran’s house unannounced and mentions the night-fishing meeting with Jae-ho, and Sang-eun later finds out that Yun-beom was in debt. Meanwhile, Ju-ran ends up discovering fingers buried in the backyard...
03. Episode 3
"Your husband killed my husband." After hearing these shocking words from Sang-eun at Yun-beom’s funeral, Ju-ran begins to find suspicious traces of Jae-ho one by one. Sang-eun finds a picture of Jae-ho and a strange girl together in a mysterious cell phone that Yun-beom hid, and begins to scheme to blackmail Jae-ho for money.

Ju-ran goes to see Sang-eun and suggests the two of them find out the truth about Jae-ho together. Meanwhile, Sang-eun gets a call from Jae-ho, and as Ju-ran secretly watches the two meet, she is confused about which of the two to believe...
05. Episode 5
The identity of Yun-beom's murderer is finally revealed! While being with Sang-eun, Ju-ran sees a side of Jae-ho that she has never seen, but she decides to protect her family. However, it turns out there is another secret hidden in her house.
06. Episode 6
With Seung-jae's confession, Ju-ran discovers the truth behind the strange smell and noise, and even Jae-ho's secret. Her entire life is on the brink of collapse. Meanwhile, Sang-eun uncovers a secret hidden in Ju-ran's house on Yun-beom's phone that she has received from the police.
07. Episode 7
Now that Sang-eun knows about the secret of Ju-ran's family, she blackmails Ju-ran. But Ju-ran gives Sang-eun 200 million won and makes an unexpected proposal…
08. Episode 8
Sang-eun realizes that she fell into Ju-ran and Jae-ho's trap. But when things go awry, Jae-ho threatens both Ju-ran and Sang-eun, and Ju-ran makes a dangerous decision when she sees his true colors.
