A chef hopes to erase the past to find investors for his new restaurant.

When Marcel's NFL dreams were dashed, he was deeply depressed until watching Food Network reminded him of his love for barbecue, and a new dream was born. With a baby on the way, he needs his own restaurant, but he may not be ready for his preview dinner.

Kevin wants to open his own coastal cuisine restaurant, but while planning a preview dinner for investors, he gets fired from his current job and loses his main investor. Determined to not give up, Kevin presses on in hopes of finding new funding.

Jackie and her husband, Cortez, invested every penny they have in a food truck they can't afford to fix, so they're throwing a preview dinner to raise $100,000 from investors to finish the job and make their dreams of being their own bosses come true.
