Belén and the children arrive at their new home, but fear that it may be haunted.
The children decide to renovate the house, and Pato joins them. Their search for mattresses leads to trouble with the police, but an unexpected donation saves the night. Carmen signs on as their legal guardian, then tries to delay the appointment.
Pato returns after being hurt by the children's remarks. During the renovations, their mischievous antics spark conflicts with the neighbors. Belén discovers that they miss their old home, while the boys find a key that unlocks the forbidden area.
The children organize a fair to raise money for supplies, but accidentally take wood belonging to a neighbor. Gaby invites Mili to move in with her, and when the children explore the forbidden area again, they discover the mysterious Elena.
Elena threatens to report the children for entering the forbidden area, but Gómez allows them to stay and appoints her as the housekeeper. Meanwhile, the fair is a success, Mili decides to move in with Gaby, and Carmen brings in an inspector who threatens to shut down the home.
The children complete the house renovations overnight, and the inspector approves the opening of "Rincón de Luz." Elena is forced to work there, Mili prepares to move in with Gaby, and a hurt Jimena declares their friendship over.
Jimena realizes her mistake and encourages Mili to move in with Gaby. The children prepare for a confrontation with Barracuda's gang, while Belén discovers that Facundo lied about his absence and finds a mysterious key in his pocket.
On their first day of school, the children face ridicule and loneliness, while Mili endures Carmen's bullying. Belén grows increasingly suspicious of Facundo, and the boys try to sneak past Elena to confront Barracuda's gang.
The boys get into a fight with Barracuda's gang, while Sol skips school and meets a beggar. Belén discovers that Facundo has moved in across from her and that Silvia owns the apartment. Elena collects cockroaches, and the beggar shows up at the home.
The beggar returns Sol's bag and reveals that he has been looking after her. The boys try to hide their injuries from the fight, while Elena releases cockroaches into the girls' room. Sol reveals her jealousy, and a new girl is abandoned on the home's doorstep.
