Fifteen months have passed since the tragedy of Svárta Sand and the shock is still heavy on the townspeople of Glerársand. Especially Anita, as she tries to be there for her newborn daughter and deal with motherhood.
When Tómas's grandmother is found, the villagers are once again devastated. A murder a short time later reminds them that evil thrives on silence. An investigation reveals a cover-up of cases that have resulted in broken hearts, violence, neglect and ultimately mass murder. All these cases are related to Anita's family and now threaten to shatter her hope for a normal life.
01. Time to Live
Helena, arrives at the police station seeking information about historical abuse in foster homes. Fríða becomes concerned when she learns the foster home belongs to Aníta's grandmother, while Aníta battles postpartum depression at home.
02. Everything is a Lie
Helena is found dead in a car crash, plunging Fríða into shock. Suspicions of foul play spark an investigation. Fríða keeps the details from Aníta who later uncovers the truth while battling a deepening depression.
03. Alone and Forsaken
After learning the truth about Helena's death, Aníta returns to work. A family secret drives her to investigate her grandmother's foster home, uncovering ties to Helena's death as other women from the foster home gather for the funeral.

After Helena's funeral, the women argue over Davíð's presence in town. Fríða's investigation points to him, while Aníta uncovers disturbing truths about her grandmother's foster home. Auður confronts Davíð, leading to tragic consequences.
05. Alone you are
When Davíð's body is found, everything changes. Aníta's mental state deteriorates unnoticed by Fríða. Helena's investigation implicates Davíð, while surveillance footage reveals crucial clues to his death.
06. Dancing Barefoot
In 1983, Helena arrives at the foster home as Grandma Helga confronts David about his situation with the girls, marking the start of the Black Sands saga.
07. Getting Out
Interrogations shift dramatically after new autopsy information. Gusti is concerned about Anita and takes the baby, leading to terrible consequences.
08. Black Beach II
The search for Anita and her baby continues overnight. Frida finds some important evidence, forcing her to make a critical decision about Anita's future.
