Jerry moves his new younger girlfriend, Kayee, into a house he shares with his ex wife Jessica. Lisa still isn't over her divorce from her ex Jimmy, even though it was decades ago. Alex went from Caroline's gay best friend to her boyfriend.

April surprises her husband by getting a matching tattoo with her ex. Kayee's lack of contributions around the house frustrates Jerry's ex. Caroline is fed up when Alex's ex crashes Friendsgiving. Lisa, Jimmy and their spouses prepare for their RV trip.

On a family ski trip with Kayee and Jessica, Jerry is forced to pick sides. Jennifer and her wife decide Jennifer's ex-husband should be the sperm donor for their baby. Alex shocks his sister with news that he wants to take the next step with Caroline.

Old wounds lead to a giant fight on Jimmy and Lisa's RV trip. Ex-husband Josh questions his role in the baby's life as Jennifer and Chantel try for pregnancy. All hell breaks loose when Alex's sexuality comes into question at a family dinner.
