Kartik is impressed by Purnima's thoughtfulness. While a short-tempered Shanaya rebukes Purnima, Soni decides to get Kartik married to Shanaya.

Soni's unexpected announcement about Kartik's marriage leaves him bewildered. Later, the groom's family mocks Purnima's dark complexion.

Her dusky complexion becomes the cause for Purnima's depression, but Biji consoles her. Later, Purnima's father berates Shanaya for stealing.
