Josie Morgan is a British second assistant director. Beginning in the production department as a runner and production assistant, Morgan built foundational experience on films such as The Machine (2013), Convenience (2013), and Fury (2014), before continuing in similar roles on Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015) and Annihilation (2018).
Morgan transitioned into the assistant directing department in the mid-2010s, initially serving as a third assistant director on major international productions including Outlaw King (2018), Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019). These credits coincided with work as a second assistant director on independent and mid-budget projects such as Alright Now (2018) and The Return of the Yuletide Kid (2019).
By the early 2020s, Morgan had become a second assistant director on large-scale franchise films and TV shows such as Extraction (2020), Black Widow (2021), Invasion (2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), and Jurassic World: Dominion (2022). Morgan also served as base second assistant director on the second season of Loki (2021). These roles frequently involved second-unit or splinter-unit responsibilities.
Morgan continued to work extensively on major studio features in the following years, including Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023), The Running Man (2025), Eternal Return (2025), How to Train Your Dragon (2025), Back in Action (2025) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026).
Across these projects, Morgan has frequently collaborated with first assistant director Frazer Fennell-Ball.
