John Biju

John Biju Vadakkumchery (born May 26, 2007) is an Indian filmmaker and actor. Born and raised in Kuwait but originally from Kerala, he made his directorial debut at 17 with the short film Some Mercy, Maybe (2025), in which he also played a key role. The film explores themes of grief, drug addiction, and divine intervention through a grounded and emotionally charged narrative.

In addition to directing and acting, he is involved in various aspects of filmmaking, including editing, prop design, poster design, set design, and cinematography. He has also worked as an assistant director on independent projects.

He is known for his interest in personal, character-focused storytelling that blurs the line between realism and the metaphysical.
