Ebi Wijaya Latumeten is an award-winning Indonesian filmmaker and social advocate who blends cinema, theater, and digital storytelling to amplify marginalized voices across Southeast Asia. As the founder of Bumi Manusia Foundation a nonprofit dedicated to education and youth empowerment and creative mentor at Rumah Singgah Anak Semua Bangsa, he transforms shelters into creative sanctuaries for at-risk youth facing poverty, bullying, and generational trauma.

His critically acclaimed debut film Behind the Secret, produced entirely within a shelter environment, combines documentary realism with surreal poetics to expose Indonesia’s unseen social struggles. Ebi's work consistently explores themes of identity, resilience, and structural inequality, earning recognition for its unflinching humanity and narrative depth.

Where others see limitations, Ebi sees stories waiting to be told. He stands at the intersection of art and activism using film as both mirror and scalpel: to reflect truth, heal wounds, and inspire transformation.
