Richard De'Vaughn is a Ghost Hunter, Paranormal Investigator, Psychic, Reggae Artist among many other titles.
Originally from Harrow in London, Richard relocated as a young boy to Hallow in Worcestershire with his mother, where he now lives in her garden in his caravan. From a young age, Richard had always been fascinated with the paranormal, and paranormal were certainly fascinated with him. Richard followed his calling to investigate the paranormal from age 8, with his dream being to host his own ghost hunting TV show Celestial Intersect, which he is currently still working on.
After dropping out of school aged 15 after having to repeat year 7 four times, Richard took up ghost hunting full time, working with classmate and aspiring filmmaker Will Frost, who documented his investigations and other ventures, such as becoming the Founder, Lead Singer and Drummer of his spectral reggae band, Ethereal Enigma along side fellow ghost hunter and bitter rival Samual Da'Costa.
Once his camera man Will Frost joined University of Worcester's Film Production course, Richard took complete use of the high tech camera equipment, used the students as his crew as well as their facilities by setting up one of their work rooms into the De'Vaughn Media Lab. Finding out that a member his crew was connected to the TV industry, Richard got him to get a sit down meeting with up and coming TV producer Charlotte Hasnip, who was looking to pick up a ghost hunting show. After being majorly impressed by Richard's work, she sends him off to film the full pilot for the show leading to Richard's first feature film.
'Celestial Intersect' follows Richard as he films the pilot for his show, showcasing his investigations, interviews with paranormal experts as well as behind the scenes footage of the film's production. The film went on to have a widely successful film festival run after being nominated for Best Feature at Stratford Upon Avon Film Festival as well as winning Best UK Short Film/ Featurette at RTF Film Festival. The film is currently in the process of having a wide release. Richard is also in post production of his follow up film 'Richard De'Vaughn and His Ethereal Enigmas', which follows Richard reviving his reggae band with new songs about ghosts he has investigated as well as the love of his life, Charlotte Hasnip.
Whilst Richard is waiting for his show to get picked up, he continues to produce online episodes of Celestial Intersect on his YouTube channel @realricharddevaughn as well as his spinoff series Richard Tries.
