Shahriar Hasan Rudro is a Bangladeshi creative collaborator and co-founder of SRM, where the “S” in the collective name originates from him. Working primarily as an actor and cinematographer, he contributes to both the visual and performative sides of the group’s filmmaking process.
Coming from Manikganj, Rudro shares a long-standing creative bond with his high school friends, which eventually evolved into the formation of SRM. His approach to cinema is less structured and more instinct-driven, often leaning into chaotic, Gen Z-infused aesthetics with an off-cinema sensibility that avoids conventional storytelling rules.
Within SRM’s evolving body of work, he is notably recognized for his role as the Salesman in The Null Mirror, a character that reflects his subtle yet grounded on-screen presence.
Rather than positioning himself at the center, Rudro is more often found working in the background—supporting, observing, and contributing wherever needed. His presence within SRM is less about spotlight and more about continuity, collaboration, and creative balance.
